Trip Itinerary

This tour offers a unique and thrilling experience for adventure enthusiasts who enjoy hiking and other extreme sports. It provides an array of exciting activities, including ziplining, rafting, cycling, and hot springs, ensuring an adrenaline-fueled adventure for all participants.

DAY ONE: ABRA MALAGA – SANTA MARIA

Departing at 7:30 am, we embark on a journey through the sacred valley, passing by Chinchero, Urubamba, and Ollantaytambo, until we reach the Malaga pass. Here, we pause for 15 minutes to admire the snow-capped peaks before descending on a thrilling cycling adventure. Our route takes us to the Huamanmarca archaeological site, where we commence our hike to Santa Maria. The first night is spent at a hostel, with breakfast, lunch, and dinner provided. Optional rafting is also available.

DAY TWO: SANTA MARIA – SANTA TERESA

After a hearty breakfast, we begin our hike towards Santa Rosa, a scenic one-hour journey that showcases the local flora and fauna. Continuing onwards, we reach Pispitayuc, where we take a short rest before resuming our hike to the town of Qellomayo, where a delicious lunch awaits. The route then leads us to the therapeutic Cocalmayo baths, followed by a 40-minute walk to Santa Teresa, where we spend the night at a hostel.

DAY THREE: SANTA TERESA – AGUAS CALIENTES

Our trek continues along less-traveled paths, with the option for those who have pre-booked to partake in the exhilarating zipline activity. Meanwhile, the rest of the group proceeds on a three-hour hike to reach Hidroelectrica. The zipline group reunites with the rest at lunchtime, and together, we embark on a three-hour walk alongside the train tracks, passing picturesque waterfalls, coffee plantations, and coca farms until we arrive in Aguas Calientes at 4 pm. Here, we enjoy a final dinner and coordinate with the guide for the next day’s excursion to the archaeological site.

DAY FOUR: AGUAS CALIENTES – MACHU PICCHU – CUSCO

Rising early at 4 am, we have our last breakfast before ascending to the majestic Machu Picchu, which opens at 6 am. Witness the breathtaking sunrise during the two-hour guided tour, followed by free time to explore further. Descending the stairs to Aguas Calientes, we board the return train to Ollantaytambo, where a bus awaits to transport us back to Cusco, marking the end of this incredible adventure.
